OPTICAL PEN
A Small Piece Of Electronic Equipment That You Move Across A Page In Order To Save The Words Or In Its Own Memory Or In Your System. It allows the user to point to displayed objects or draw on the screen in a similar way to a touchscreen but with greater positional accuracy.
HOW IT WORKS ?
Move your digital pen on and this is what happens:
- The infrared LED in the base of the pen flash on the page. You can't see it because your eyes can't detect infrared.
- The light detector, also in the base of the pen, take the infrared reflected off recognition marks printed.
- The microchip in the pen uses the pattern of reflections to store data of the words that you're writing.
- The Bluetooth connectivity built into the pen transfer the data wirelessly and invisibly through the air.
- The receiver in your computer connect with the Bluetooth signals and stores what you've written. Software in your system converts this data into normal, editable text you can import into a word-processing program.
